Dear Atty., I have a question regarding SEC registration of a church we are currently planting. My husband is a volunteer missionary (his mother church did not send him, it was his own conviction to plant a church where we are) and we are currently renting a space for the church with only 3 members presently. A BIR rep visited the church one day and told us we are required to register with BIR and part of their requirements is SEC registration. Also since my husband being a missionary in the country whenever I apply for visa we are being required to provide his SEC. What can we do please?
Go to the nearest SEC office and comply with the legal requirements.
