![]() ![]() ProteusProteus is an early sea-god of Greek mythology, an old man whose responsibilities include tending to Poseidon's seals. Though he is said to have the gift of prophecy, Proteus goes to go to great lengths to avoid disclosing this knowledge and only does so if trapped. A shape-shifter, he evades capture by changing his appearance. For this reason, the adjective "protean"—meaning "versatile" or "capable of assuming many forms"—is derived from his name. Dealing with so much data remained a problem until the late 1940s, when the Census Bureau commissioned the first civilian computer. In 1951, it was used to count part of the 1950 census and was so successful that the bureau bought another. What presidential election did UNIVAC correctly predict? More... Discuss |

Thank you so much for posting those pictures of the wake and funeral services of pastor narvaez. Charmaine was my best friend in high school and the godmother of my eldest daughter. We grew up together in Christian Academy of Manila. Mrs Narvaez was my teacher for many years. Unfortunately, because of some unavoidable circumstances (Both my parents being confined in the hospital for surgery and chemotherapy), I was not able to pay my last respects to Pastor Narvaez. I often saw him both in school and and their home in Nagtahan years ago while bot and I were growing up. She oftened talked about her dad being so consumed with his ministries. Though as I child and a young teen, she has many questions in her mind about her "papa's" ministry, she still highly respected him as a servant of the Lord. Pastor Narvaez's hard work and faithfulness to the Lord has paid off-- knowing that his kids (now mature adults) fully understand the joy and reward of being completely surrendered to the work of the Lord. How I wish I was able to show my support through my presence during their time of grief. Thankfully, seeing the pictures in your website has truly helped me lot. Thank you so much for taking time to post the pictures. Thank you and again, thank you. Pastor, farewell po. See you at the feet of Jesus.... Marissa de Guzman Tica
